Alexander Mirza Hotel Management – Current Information..

Hilton Hotels Corporation reported today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior vice president of corporate development. Leveraging his significant hospitality industry experience in both the corporate and consulting environments, he is going to be working company-wide on new product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, and others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Before joining Hilton, Mirza was a senior executive within the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Prior to Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was responsible for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career at First Financial, Inc. and opened the first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes several years of project management experience with Deloitte/Braxton Associates in the areas of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.

Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with Cachet in the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries within the regions of customer strategy, new product development and repair innovation. Mirza holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, with a focus on brand marketing and corporate strategy. He also holds an M.A. in Economics along with a B.A. Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
